SEASON AUDITIONS & Technician/designer Interviews

The Magnetic Theatre hosts season auditions each year, in January. Our 2023 season auditions will be held January 22nd through 24th, and will provide casting opportunities for our entire season

We are also seeking a number of technicians and designers, and will hold interviews for behind-the-scenes artists on Saturday, January 28th.

Ahead of your audition or interview, you MUST review the information about The Magnetic Theatre auditions, policies, COVID policies, and fill out a digital audition form (for actors) or an interest form (for technicians).

For our season auditions, actors are asked to do the following:

• Prepare one monologue of approximately one minute in length

  • Monologues must be from theatrical sources (not film, tv, etc.)

  • Monologues must be memorized

• Prepare one side from the selection provided - Sides will be distributed after an actor has signed up to audition, beginning in early January.

  • Side should be one that contrasts with your monologue

  • Side does not have to be memorized

  • Side selection does not exclude actors from consideration for any of our season productions

• Actors should submit a headshot and resume, and a digital audition form.

Please note that we are only auditioning roles aged 16 and up at this time. All ages (16+) and body types welcome.
