ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHTS
Evan Baughfman is a middle school teacher and author. Much of his writing success has also been as a playwright. He's had many different plays produced across the globe. A number of his scripts are published by YouthPLAYS, Heuer Publishing, Next Stage Press, and Drama Notebook. He is a theater company member with Force of Nature Productions of Burbank, CA. Evan also writes horror fiction and screenplays. His first collection of short stories, THE EMACIATED MAN AND OTHER TERRIFYING TALES FROM POE MIDDLE SCHOOL, is available through Thurston Howl Publications. Ryan Bultrowicz is a Mexican-American playwright based out of Washington D.C. and Virginia. He's interested in creating innovative, experimental, and magical shows. His works have been produced all over the world. He is the author of Dream Date (Queensland University, Australia), The Rabbit's Hole (Baumholder American School, Germany), Shower Thoughts (Network Theatre, London), The Audience Disturbs Marcel's Bath Time and He Is Very Upset With You All (Tiny Dynamite, Philadelphia), Three Women and an Onion (MadLab, Ohio) and many more. His acting credits include playing Macbeth (Macbeth). Vincent Cradeau (No Exit), Creon (Antigone), Scoop Rosenbaum (The Heidi Chronicles) and many more.
lan Downes (Any Pronouns) is a playwright hailing from Auburn, Alabama. They currently are working on a PhD at the SUNY University at Buffalo. He generally writes horror plays, and has had many plays produced in Play Readings, but she would love to see them more fully produced!
Jackie Martin is a teacher and playwright from Norwood, Massachusetts. Jackie's work has been produced by Shadblow Theatre, Playwrights' Round Table, 2Cents Theater, Open Theatre Project, Left Edge Theatre, The Studio Players, The Warner Theatre, Firehouse Center for the Arts, and others. Awards include the Peter Honegger Prizes for Best One Act and Best Short Play in 2019, as well as the Audience Choice award at the Shadblow Theatre's Short Play Fest in 2020. Her work has been published by YouthPLAYS as well as Smith & Kraus. Jackie is a member of Playwrights' Platform and the Dramatists' Guild.
ABOUT THE ACTORS / DIRECTORS
Tabitha Judy has been living, teaching, and performing in WNC for over 20 years. Favorite roles at include Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense, Missy Miller in The Marvelous Wonderettes, Cinderella in Into the Woods, Ida in Honk! The Musical, Rona Peretti in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Mamie in The Field. When not on the stage, Tabitha is known as Ms. Judy, as she teaches English and theatre arts at Pisgah High School in Canton. She would like to thank her family for their support this pandemic!
Strother Stingley has a BA in Theatre Arts from FSU and roughly 15 years experience acting professionally. An actual Asheville native, he specializes in character roles and dialects and has performed a wide range of styles of theatre with a heavy lean towards comedies, musicals, radio theatre (touring with Immediate Theatre Project's version of It's A Wonderful Life), and improv (oy).
Since diving into theatre in 2013, Tippin has worked as an actor, stage manager, technical director, assistant director, director director, producer, props master, office manager, collaborative writer, dramaturg, and sound designer for over fifty productions for stage, film, restaurant, greenway, hallway, and oversized camera obscura. With particular interests in socially progressive, original, experimental, fringe. and immersive theatre, and in poetry performance. Tippin finds hope for humanity in the creative sharing of stories.
